GRESSONEY'S BIERFEST, as every year in Gressoney the much-loved Beer Festival returns!
From 20 to 24 June 2024, the Gressoney Folk Group organises the "Bierfest", the customary Gressoney Beer Festival now in its 30th edition.
Many volunteers participate in the organisation and work tirelessly for the success of the festival, having fun and being in good company.
Since the first years in which the Folkloristic Group began to organise the event, the success it has enjoyed has been very important, and over the years participation has grown to become the most beautiful beer festival in Valle d'Aosta and among the most beautiful in Italy.
The festival is organised on the days when Gressoney Saint Jean celebrates its patron saint, John the Baptist: 24 June. On that occasion, after the Holy Mass, there is a procession through the village streets in which the women of Gressoney wear the precious traditional costume for the festivities.
The Germanic spirit that hovers during those days is very intense with many of the participants dressed in Bavarian costumes, folk groups from different localities and lots of live music.
