The Meggiana Refuge is located about 10 km from Piode. After crossing the bridge, climb along the paved road to Alpe Meggiana where, leaving the car in the parking lot, you will reach the delightful refuge in less than 5 minutes.
For the disabled there is the possibility of reaching the refuge with their own vehicle, along a short stretch of dirt road. Here, in an enchanting setting where the view sweeps over the surrounding mountains, you can enjoy an excellent meal with traditional dishes and local products served in a characteristic mountain environment.
For walkers, it takes about 30 minutes from the refuge to reach the panoramic Pizzo di Meggiana where you can admire Monte Rosa reflected in the lake.
